Drunk Driver Causes Accident, T.J. Maxx Employee Reports Theft

Drunk Driver Causes Accident

Alexandra Walewski, 22, of Southbury, was charged with DWI, traveling unreasonably fast for conditions, failure to drive to the right and misuse of a license after a two car accident on Saturday, August 18 at approximately 3:00 a.m.

According to police, Walewski crossed the centerline of Reservoir Road and sideswiped a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Walewski’s vehicle then careened into a CL&P utility pole, splitting the pole at its base.

The passenger in Walewski’s vehicle, as well as the driver of the vehicle she struck, were transported to Waterbury Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Walewski was released on $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on August 29.

T.J. Maxx Employee Reports Theft

An employee of T.J. Maxx, 100 Main Street North in Southbury, reported money stolen from her wallet while she was working in the store.
