Police Blotter: DUI, Assault, Larceny, Threatening, Harassment
Thefts and DUIs fill the police blotter in Southbury.
Mark Long, 51, of 5 Ferris Ln. in Rochester N.Y., was charged with DUI and Jaye Lynn Scott, 55, of 157 Shelter Rock Rd. in Danbury was charged with breach of peace and third degree assault after a 911 caller reported their vehicle driving erratically on I-84 west in Southbury on Saturday Jan. 28 at 12:22 p.m.
The caller reported seeing the vehicle driving on the shoulder and the occupants striking each other. Part of the assault was observed by responding state troopers, according to police reports.
Long and Scott will appear in Waterbury Superior Court.

Southbury police are investigating the larceny of an Iphone from a home on Main St. North in Southbury. The Iphone was taken during an estate sale, according to police reports.

Paul Adam, 49, of 8 Valley Rd. in Danbury, was charged with DWI after Southbury police observed him driving erratically on Main St. North in Southbury on Sunday Jan. 29 at 6:58 p.m.
Adam was released on $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 8.

Sometime during the past ten days jewelry was taken from a residence at Pomperaug Woods located at 80 Heritage Rd. in Southbury, according to police reports.

Christopher Fernandes, 25, of Southbury was charged with 2nd degree threatening and 2nd degree harassment on Monday Jan. 30 at approximately 4:55 p.m.
Fernandes turned himself in to the Southbury police after learning of the warrant for his arrest, according to police reports.
Fernandes was released on $2,500 non-surety bond and appeared in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 31.
