Police Blotter: DWI, Breach of Peace

Erratic driving and an outstanding warrant lead to arrests in Southbury this week.

Joan Marie Fontana, 36, of 600 South Britain Road in Southbury, was arrested by Southbury police on Monday at approximately 12 p.m. on an outstanding warrant.

Fontana had an outstanding warrant on a breach of peace charge stemming from an incident that occurred May 28, 2011, according to police.

Fontana was released on $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on October 13.

James Crutchfield, 25, of 23 Freemont Avenue in Milford, was charged with DWI on Sunday October 2 at approximately 12:20 a.m. after Southbury police observed him driving erratically on Main Street South in Southbury.

Crutchfield was held on $750 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on October 13.
