Pomperaug Outdoor Painters' Premier Art Show, CT Pops Open Rehearsal

For some folks, we're getting back to work on Tuesday, Sept. 3, after a long holiday weekend. Here's what's happening in and around Southbury today.

Art Show

The Pomperaug Outdoor Painters' Premier Art Show begins today at the Southbury Public Library. 

"A number of area artists have painted with POP during the year with the goals of enjoying painting together and helping the land trust to conserve the natural beauty of Southbury," according to the library website. "All paintings are family friendly, framed and for sale. Artists are donating a percentage of sales (35%) to the SLT to help raise funds to rebuild the Phillips Farm Barn."

The art show and sale ends on September 27.

CT Pops open rehearsals will take place at Naugatuck Valley Community College.
