Now you have an ally

Trying to manage all the aspects of a successful renovation--envisioning, planning, developing a timeline and budget, finding reliable designers and contractors, being on the job site, choosing materials, keeping track of the costs--can be so daunting that you postpone getting started, or maybe give up entirely. In future blogs, I will share with you the tips I have learned over the years as a contractor and now as a project manager.

Renovating--whether to sell your home or fix it up for yourself or to sell it--should bring you satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment. However, many people are simply too busy or lack the experience or confidence to be able to bring projects to a happy conclusion.

Below is just a sample of the design and execution from a recent project in Heritage Village. The clients bought the unit very reasonably, knowing that it would take a lot of work. The kitchen was a 1974 original--laminate cabinets, fluorescent lighting, and linoleum floor. The new kitchen is more user-friendly and inviting--and it came in with over $6,000 in savings from the cabinet manufacturer.

So...stay tuned for tips on various aspects of the renovation process. In the meantime, I would be happy to offer a free consultation in your home or by phone. To make an appointment, simply email afreshstartproject@gmail.com.
