Southbury, Conn. – September 17, 2012 – Urgent Care of Connecticut is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of The Hearst Connecticut Top Workplaces. Hearst Connecticut Newspapers has recognized 35 companies and organizations in Southern Connecticut as Top Workplaces 2012. Urgent Care of Connecticut ranked 11th out of 20 named small companies of 100 employees or less.
Founded in 2008, Urgent Care of Connecticut is the youngest company on the list to receive this honor and has four Southern Connecticut locations in Brookfield, Norwalk, Ridgefield and Southbury. A fifth location opened last month in Glastonbury, which expanded Urgent Care of Connecticut’s services to Hartford County.
The Top Workplaces are determined based solely on employee feedback. The survey is conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. WorkplaceDynamics conducts regional Top Workplaces programs with more than 30 major publishing partners and recognizes a National list of Top Workplaces. Over the past year, more than 4,500 organizations and 1 in every 100 employees in the U.S. have turned to WorkplaceDynamics to better understand what’s on the minds of their employees.
Employees from Urgent Care of Connecticut responded positively about the work environment because they feel valued and appreciated, have important and meaningful work, and are confident about their future with the company. They do not experience a lot of job frustration, have confidence in the leaders and direction of the company, and appreciate Urgent Care of Connecticut’s strong values and ethics. One survey participant appreciates “senior managers continually working together to help the company do better and their kindness toward their employees.” Another said, “We are all able to work as a team and also as individuals. We know what is expected of us. I know my highest priority will always be what is best for the patients and giving them excellent care.”
“We are here for the patients. It’s that simple.” said Dr. Rob Rohatsch, CEO of Urgent Care of Connecticut. “Taking care of people on their terms is what it’s all about. Since it is our employees that take care of our patients, it only makes sense to focus on making them understand that their work is truly meaningful. Part of doing that is creating a competitive compensation package that includes health care, 401K with matching, tuition reimbursement, and a competitive salary. But the other part of the equation is letting our staff know that we really care about them and their families. We consider our staff as our extended family and treat them as if they were our own.”
Hearst Connecticut Media Group published the complete list of Top Workplaces on Sunday, September 16th. For more information about the Top Workplaces lists and WorkplaceDynamics, please visit www.topworkplaces.com and www.workplacedynamics.com.
