Southbury Republicans Announce Grand Opening of Headquarters

SOUTHBURY, CT – The Southbury Republicans will be hosting a grand opening of their headquarters on September 6, 2013 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.  The headquarters is located in the Union Square Plaza at 385 Main Street South, behind Nardelli’s.  Republican candidates for local office will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the upcoming campaign.

All members of the public are invited to this free event.  Children are invited to submit their drawings on What I Love About Southbury! Their drawings will be used to decorate the Republican Headquarters.

“I am so excited to see the many qualified candidates that we have,” said Mark Cooper, Chair of the Southbury Republican Town Committee and former First Selectman of Southbury.  “This is a very important election for our Town, and we plan to have the headquarters staffed regularly to provide opportunities for voters to learn about our candidates.”

In addition to the Grand Opening, the Republicans are also hosting a food drive.  Non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the headquarters from September 6th through September 13.  Items can be brought to the headquarters between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

“The focus of our campaign is to bring Southbury together again,” said First Selectman candidate John Monteleone.  “The food drive is just one small thing that we can do to give back to the community as we share our ideas and discuss the future of Southbury.”
