Southbury's John Monteleone Raises over 8K in First Fundraiser

SOUTHBURY - Several honorary guests and elected officials were present at the heavily attended and successful first campaign fundraising event for John Monteleone, candidate for First Selectman of Southbury.  The event raised over $4,000 and together with earlier contributions the Committee to Elect Monteleone raised more than $8,000 from contributors.  There were approximately 100 attendees at the event where Monteleone and elected officials discussed the future of Southbury.

The majority of attendees at the event were residents of Southbury who expressed their support for Monteleone.  They were united in their commitment to bring Southbury together again and offered to volunteer on the campaign.  A number of additional fundraisers have been scheduled.

Ambassador Tom Foley, 2010 Republican nominee for Governor who is seriously considering running for Governor in 2014, was an honorary guest who declared his solid support and will be campaigning for Monteleone.
