Do you know if anyone from Southbury or nearby towns participated in the Civil Rights movement?
Judy Davidson posted the following question on our boards:
Any reader know of anyone who was a civil rights activist during the heyday of the movement?
Davidson is specifically wondering if anyone from the Southbury-Woodbury area participated in the Civil Rights movement. She wrote:
My son, 21, a Hofstra U student, says he doesn't believe there is anyone in the Southbury/Woodbury area where we live who was directly involved in the civil rights movement in the South back in the day...I want to prove him wrong, and need help doing it.
