In a true “community effort” vegetables from the Southbury Community Garden were harvested and sent to the Southbury Food Bank last week.
Over 20 bags of fresh lettuce were harvested on Tuesday, July 2 during "Harvest Hour" at the gardens and were brought to the Food Bank.
The food bank currently serves 185 households in Southbury.
