Southbury Annual Turkey Trot Scheduled For Wednesday

Women’s Club event benefits several Southbury charities.

Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to join for the annual Southbury Women's Club Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22.

The Kids Fun Run starts at 8 a.m. and the 5K starts at 8:30 a.m. at 730 Main Street South in Southbury.

The official 5K Run/Walk is certified and sanctioned by USA Track & Field and provides a fabulous opportunity for friends and family to pound the pavement before the holiday dinner that traditionally packs on the pounds!

Your participation is this community tradition will benefit the Southbury Fuel and Food Banks and The Needy Fund. Plus, a Kid’s Fun Run for children under 10 starts at 8 a.m. and benefits Children to Children.

There is a 5K event day $25 registration fee. The Kids Walk is $5.

The Turkey Trot is generously sponsored by The Gym, Rittuci-Freidman Orthodontics, Adam Broderick Salon & Spa Boar’s Head, Chemtura, The Smile Spot Children’s Dentistry, and Waterbury Hospital.

To register go to http://www.southburywomensclub.org. The 5K is limited to 1,000 runners. Awards will go to the top three male and female finishers in 8 age categories ranging from under 10 years of age to over 60.

Thank you for that advertisement cloaked in concern. Staples reward program stinks and is loadedRead More with loopholes. Further, their prices are already 10-20% higher than discount retailers, so the measly 5% discount is ridiculous. I live 2 miles from the Southbury Staples, but drive to Danbury Walmart or dollar stores to purchase items for my classroom.
