Oil paintings by Ann Harriet Carew will be on display in "Familiar Pieces and Places" at the Gloria Cachion Art Gallery in the Southbury Public Library Thursday, Sept. 2, through Wednesday, Sept. 29. (The library will be closed Sept. 4-6 for Labor Day weekend.)
"Familiar Pieces and Places" features the scenery that Carew knows and loves: The Shepaug River; the woods in Steep Rock Preserve; Lake Waramaug; the barns, fields and old homes of Litchfield County; as well as her favorite shoreline vacation scenes.
