Library Movie Classic Featuring Gregory Peck

The shows a true American classic at 1:30 p.m. Wed., Sept. 22. In his Oscar-winning role Gregory Peck plays the inimitable Atticus Finch, a lawyer in a southern town during the Great Depression, who defends an innocent man accused of a violent crime, a stance that gives his two motherless children an unforgettable experience and lifelong lesson.

All films are shown in the Kingsley Meeting Room surround-sound theater, with infrared listening system available.

Because of licensing and copyright agreements, the sibrary cannot list the titles of the films, which are sponsored by The Friends of the Southbury Public Library, with the videos provided by Connecticut Libraries and Blockbuster of Southbury.
