Watercolor Painting Workshop

offers Watercolor Painting, a two-hour workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, to learn basic watercolor techniques and create a small painting of coneflowers and a butterfly.

Step by step instructions, demonstrations and individual attention will enable both beginners and more advanced students to enjoy the beautiful, transparent qualities of watercolor. All supplies are included.

Workshop instructor Betsy Rogers-Knox is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists and her work was selected in 2006, 2008 and 2009 to be displayed at the Horticultural Society of New York's Annual Exhibitions in New York City. She teaches watercolor workshops at the Bellamy-Farriday House Garden and at the Heritage Village.

Registration is required. Space is limited to 15 participants aged 18 and over.

For more information or to register call the reference department at 203-262-0626, ext. 130.
