Photo Contest Announced by Southbury Women’s Club and Ritz Camera

Ritz Camera, 100 Main St. N, Southbury Plaza, together with Southbury Women’s Club, announce an amateur photo contest to be held during the Fall Fine Arts Festival, September 22 on the Southbury Green 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Everyone is invited to participate. Contestants will compete for the prize of a gift certificate donated by Ritz Camera. Voting by dollars will be held during the entire Fall Fine Arts Festival.

Contestants are encouraged to bring their friends and family to the event to vote and to enjoy the many mediums that will be for sale at the artisan’s booths. The prints of the photos on display at the festival will also be for sale. The winning photo will be featured at Ritz Camera, on www.southburywomensclub.org  and will be submitted to the newspaper. Proceeds from voting and the sale will be donated to Friends of Pomperaug Music.

There is no cost to enter. All family friendly subjects will be accepted. Southbury Women's Club reserves the right to refuse entries. Two entries per person maximum. Please no photos of identifiable people. There are three ways you can enter the contest. Ritz will print the photo as an 8”x10” and submit it with the entry form which you can get at the store. Just stop by Ritz with your media card containing your photo for entry.

Alternatively, you can enter the contest by downloading the entry form from www.southburywomensclub.org  and send along with your 8”x10” photo to SWC, P.O. Box 195, Southbury, CT 06488 or you may email your photo size 2-5MB to FallFineArtsFestival@gmail.com attaching the entry form to the email. Spots are still available to artisans on a first come, first serve basis – and many returning artisans have already applied to ensure their spot.
