"Sunday Movie Night in Southbury" Continuing at Reduced Price

Screenings will cost $5 for students and seniors and $8 for adults.

The Southbury Film Commission has announced the lineup and pricing for the Spring Series of Films at the Heritage Hotel & Conference Center.

“Sunday Movie Night in Southbury” will continue with six new independent films this spring, featuring several films made in Connecticut. All films will be shown at the Heritage Hotel, 522 Heritage Road in Southbury at 7 p.m.

After community feedback, the commission has also decided to reduce the price of the screenings to $5 for students and seniors and $8 for adults.

“Sunday Movie Night in Southbury” will be held on following dates:

April 7th               Title:      “The Baker”
April 21st             Title:      “Novem”
May 5th               Title:      “The Green”  (Film made in CT)
May 19th              Title:      “Rising Star” (Film made in CT)
June 9th               Title:      “Theresa is Mother”
June 23rd             Title:      “Hello Lonesome” (Film made in CT)

Descriptions and trailers of the films can be viewed on the Southbury Film Commission website at www.southburyfilm.org.

All films are independent films and do not have a rating assigned to them. The CT Film Festival recommends that these films are suggested for adult audiences and not appropriate for children.

To purchase tickets online residents can visit the CT Film Festival website. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Concession items such as wine, beer, soft drinks, assorted cheese trays and popcorn are available through the Heritage Hotel.
