Boy Scout's To Sell Food at Ballantine Concession After Town Parade

In keeping with the annual tradition of working the concession stand at Ballantine Park, Boy Scouts from Troop 1607 in Southbury will be on hand selling burgers, hot dogs, snacks and beverages on Memorial Day, immediately following the town parade. As always, the boys will personally serve one free meal to Veteran's and active duty military who attend the picnic.  This event is a major fund raiser for the troop, who is chartered by Southbury VFW Post 1607.

Since all indications point toward a rainy and unstable weather forecast, it looks like Monday is going to be the "pick of the weekend" with sunny skies and warm temps! So instead of staying home, where the grass and deck furniture may still be wet and damp, head over to the town picnic and support the Boy Scouts and Veteran's by ordering up some burgers and dogs.
