Kmart is Your Readers' Choice Winner

The Southbury Plaza store is this week's Southbury Patch Readers' Choice winner for best sporting goods store.

It came down to a race betwen a local ski store, a bike shop and a national store with a large sporting goods section. In the end, though, the national store outpaced the competition and emerged the winner of this week's Southbury Patch Readers' Choice contest.

Kmart Sporting Goods Section received 43% of the vote, beating out Class Cycles (31%), and Leisuretime of Southbury (25%).

Kmart has been a fixture in the Southbury Plaza for decades. The sporting goods section is large, carrying everything from wiffle ball bats and basketballs, to fishing and hunting equipment.
