Top 10 Companies Hiring Managers This Week

Wages have been stagnant for most jobs over the past decade. So if you're hoping to increase your salary significantly, your best option is to try to make the leap into management. Indeed, the average manager's salary is $108,570 -- or more than double the average salary of U.S. workers, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. So where are the opportunities? Who is hiring?

Here are the 10 employers with most management positions open this week: 

1. Petco Jobs: 6,313 managerial openings.

San Diego-based Petco's chain of pet supplies stores number more than a thousand across the U.S. and, along with its large supermarket-type operations, now includes smaller, mom-and-pop-style neighborhood stores, Unleashed by Petco.

Manager Review: "Petco is a very collaborative culture and the people who work here are great. I get to bring my dog to work and wear casual jeans all summer long. They have dog parks, foosball and a Wii as well as a beautiful facility here in San Antonio. 2. Pizza Hut Jobs: 3,341 managerial openings.

After 55 years in the business, Pizza Hut continues to expand, adding new locations nationwide. In its recent hunt for a digital manager, the fast-food chain asked applicants interviewing for the job to prove their ability to get a message across in Twitter-like brevity by limiting their "elevator speeches" to just 140 seconds.

Manager Review: "If you work fast and efficiently there are chances to get promoted."*

3. AT&T Retail Jobs: 2,564 managerial openings.
Wireless giant AT&T continues to hire in large volumes, as many customers upgrade their smartphones and purchase tablets that require LTE data plans.

The Alpharetta, Georgia-based sales and marketing company provides services to over 200 companies worldwide. The companies offers assisted sales, outsourced sales, training and advocacy and marketing advantage solutions.

Manager Review: "Great company, with a phenomenal culture. Can't speak any higher of it. Best 3PL company to work for out there."*

5. Bon Secours Health System Jobs: 2,066 managerial openings.

The not-for profit health care organization is sponsored by the Bon Secours Roman Catholic ministries. Based out of Marriottsville, Maryland, Bon Secours hospitals house a total of 4,400 licensed acute-care beds in developing countries like Peru.

Manager Review: "The possibilities for advancement are good, but work-life balance is terrible when you're abroad; my family never sees me and the stress is high."*

6. Vector Marketing: 1,868 managerial openings.

Vector Marketing of Olean, N.Y., is the domestic sales arm of the cutlery company, Cutco, which sells knives and other implements nationwide. Vector offers part-time, full-time and temporary sales jobs, including summer work, and says that experience in sales isn't required.

Manager Review: "Experience is not necessary and there is no initial fee. Also, the firm has strong pay incentives and sells a good product."*

7. CVS Caremark Jobs: 1,689 managerial openings.

The CVS pharmacy chain has more than 7,500 stores in the United States, second only to Walgreens, and reported revenue of over $123 billion in 2012. It recently announced a partnership with DASH for Health to establish the Weight Loss Program at its walk-in medical clinics, MinuteClinic.

Manager Review: "Corporate is always looking for ways to cut expenses and increase profits... [and as] a Store Manager you no longer have a quality of life. The expectation is to be available 7 days a week... but they tend to hire the kind of people you want to work with."*

8. Acosta Sales: 1,330 managerial openings.

Acosta Sales is a full-service marketing company with more than 20,000 employees throughout North America. The company focuses on the foodservice and grocery industries. Workers in the sales division make site visits to check on stock.

Manager Review: "The benefits are good and relocation is a possibility. But there is not too much room to grow and change your position. Such a big company that you are not as much of a priority"*

9. Firestone Complete Auto Parts: 1,132 managerial openings.

Firestone Complete Auto Care is a car maintenance chain that's part of one of the oldest American tire companies. There are more than 1,600 locations nationwide that, along with selling and servicing tires, also do repairs and other kinds of work on cars.

Manager Review: ""Higher than average compensation for retail, good camaraderie with co workers. Nice working for large company that you know will be there tomorrow. "*

10. Avon Independent Sales: 1,080 managerial openings.

Avon is an international cosmetics and beauty care company known for its door-to-door sales business model. Avon's "independent sales consultants" can work from home and according their own schedules.
