Who Makes Southbury's Best Burger?

In this week's Readers' Choice contest we want you to tell us who has the tastiest, juiciest, most delicious burgers in town -- and what makes them so darn good?

In its purest form it's just a beef patty on a bun. But today's burgers are much more complex, with toppings that range from the classic lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup and mustard to items that include everything from bacon, mushrooms, jalapenos, avocado, chili or a fried egg. You could even get a burger made from turkey meat or bison, or a veggie one, too.

When it comes down to it, you could put just about anything on a burger. And there are some great restaurants serving some incredible burgers right here in Southbury.

In this week's Readers' Choice contest, we want to know which place has the absolute best burger in town. Vote for your favorite in the poll and, most importantly, rate and review the place in our directory (by clicking on the links below) and drop a comment on this article.

Here's our starter list (let us know if we're missing anyone):

Hey Scott, Thanks for being lazy and eating greasy overpriced burgers!

What's up with not adding McDonald's? I posted to add it and it was ignored-it is only fair to include it. seriously-it is a hamburger place and it is in southbury, is it because it isn't 'local' and sells burgers for less than $8 each? Plus they have $1 double hamburgers-which is less expensive than making your own. I can buy an $8 hamburger somewhere else or 1 lb of hamburger @ 3.99 a lb and make 4 or 5 for the same price-you can get a sirloin steak and grill it and have it feed 4-6 people for $8 signed, grumpy

Amen! I just posted something similar.

The Rathskeller IS the BEST restaurant in Southbury. Excellent , accurate, and fast service. Their burgers are the juiciest and tastiest ones in town. My favorite is the California Burger with sweet potato french fries!
