Panera Bread Coming to Southbury Plaza

Work will soon begin on a new location of the popular Panera Bread Bakery and Café, which will be opening at the Southbury Plaza shopping center.

The restaurant will be located in the currently empty restaurant space in the Plaza professional building next to Webster Bank and nearby to The Southbury Music Studio.

Menu items at Panera include fresh-baked handcrafted artisan breads and other baked goods, hand-tossed salads, soups and signature sandwiches. Panera Bread Cafes offer great tasting, quality food and serve antibiotic-free chicken, whole grain bread, select organic and all-natural ingredients and a menu with zero grams added Trans fat.

The layout for the Southbury Plaza location is designed to create a warm and welcoming environment. A large outside stone patio is available for dining outside and inside a double sided fireplace will add to the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere during the cold months. The space will have free WiFi access, comfortable chairs and booths and large tables that will work well for business meetings or large groups.

Christopher Gatto, president of Gatto Development and manager of Southhaven Associates, the company which owns and operates the Southbury Plaza, commented that:

The Southbury Plaza shopping center is located at 100 Main Street North in Southbury and is a 300,000 square foot regional shopping center featuring over 20 retailers and services including Stop and Shop, Kmart, Talbots, Dress Barn, AT&T and Radio Shack.
