Pomperaug Student Sues School, Towns for Teacher's Misconduct

The student's complaint says the school and towns did not do enough to protect her from the teacher.

A teenager is suing , the Region 15 school district, and the towns of and Middlebury for failing to protect her from sex abuse by a former teacher at the high school.

An article by the Waterbury Republican-American said the teenager is identified in the lawsuit as "Jane Doe." She exchanged sexually provocative emails and text messages with former teacher Christopher Bantz, who was convicted last year of fourth degree sexual assault.
