Snow in the Forecast for Late Tuesday, Early Wednesday
The National Weather Service forecast is calling for snow in the Southbury area.
Snow is in the forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 15 and 16. The National Weather Service is calling for a hazardous weather outlook for northern New Haven County, mainly in the form of snow with sleet and freezing rain mixed in, beginning late Tuesday or early Wednesday.
"While expected snow and ice amounts do not currently meet National Weather Service warning criteria... there is a chance that more significant snowfall could occur during this time," the NWS stated.

- Snow, mainly after 1 a.m. early Wednesday. Low around 31. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible
- Wednesday: Snow, mainly before 1 p.m. High near 38. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
