Tornado Watch Issued For Southbury, Scattered Power Outages Reported

National Weather Service calling for strong winds tonight, some homes already without power in Southbury.

A tornado watch was issued by the National Weather Service for Southbury, along with all of Litchfield, New Haven and Fairfield Counties tonight.

A wind advisory remains in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19.

Scattered power outages have also been reported across Southbury. According to CL&P, 51 homes are without power. The number remains less than one percent of the population, but strong winds are expected to continue through the evening hours.

Statewide over 12,00 homes are without power, according to CL&P.
