Karen Jager-Walker drove up from Virginia to help her daughter get elected to the Southbury Board of Selectmen.
If you vote in District 3 you may have seen Jager-Walker holding a sign in support of her daughter, Jennifer O'Neil, in front of the Senior Center.
O'Neil, a Republican, was there too. And so was John Monteleone, the Republican candidate for first selectman.
They were standing alongside Carol Tuggle, a volunteer with the Democrats, who was holding a sign in support of incumbent first selectman, Ed Edelson.
The four were chatting about how friendly both parties were today, Election Day.
Now, Monteleone says, "It's up to the people."
