All Saints' Day and All Souls' Days

The Halloween merchandise is sold for the year at the Upper Room.  We do not have trick or treaters at our Church because of our location.  But, Halloween is All Hallows Eve, the night before All Saints' and All Souls' Day.  We will celebrate these days on Sunday, November 3 at the 8 am and 10 am services (later service with music).  We will remember those who have toiled in this world both as saints and as more mortals like the rest of us.

Thanksgiving Day merchandise and, yes, Christmas items are beginning to show up on our shelves at the Upper Room Thrift Shop.  It seems very early to us as well but there are some great things to be purchased.  Also, if you find nothing to buy, please stop and sign a Christmas card for our veterans in Walter Reed Hospital.  We have the cards, we just need your signature.

Please consider coming to services this Sunday, November 3, at either 8 am or 10 am (first put back your clock an hour on Saturday night!).  Come as you are as that is how we wnat to welcome you.
