Holiday Toy Drive at Southbury Plaza

The merchants of the Southbury Plaza have teamed up with the officers from the Southbury Police Force to organize a toy drive to benefit children in need.

Police officers plan to be on hand from 8Am to 2PM on November 23 in front of the Plaza’s Kmart store to collect new, unwrapped toys. Their goal is to fill their cruisers with enough toys so that every local child has presents to open on Christmas morning.

The toys will be distributed through the Southbury Needy Fund.

Cash donations will also be accepted and will be used to purchase items for older children and to accommodate any special requests families may have.

Those unable to drop off a toy that day will have another opportunity to do so on Saturday, December 1, when officers will be back collecting donations at the same location.
