Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to join us for the annual Southbury Women's Club Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, November 22 2012! The race starts promptly at 8:30 am at 730 Main Street South in Southbury. Our official 5K Run/Walk is certified and sanctioned by USA Track & Field and provides a fabulous opportunity for friends and family to pound the pavement before the holiday dinner that traditionally packs on the pounds! Your participation is this community tradition will benefit the Southbury Fuel and Food Banks and The Needy Fund. Plus, a Kid’s Fun Run for children under 10 starts at 8:00 am and benefits Children to Children. Register at http://southburywomensclub.org by midnight November 18 and save $5 off the 5K event day $25 registration fee. (The Kids Walk is $5 whenever you register.) Runners must register by November 1 to receive a free long sleeve performance t-shirt. The 5K is limited to 1000 runners so sign up early! Awards will go to the top three male and female finishers in 8 age categories ranging from under 10 years of age to over 60.
