Features wonderful annuals, perennials, herbs, shrubs and hanging baskets. Most are CT grown plants, chosen for their deer resistant qualities and native plants,many from members' gardens. Members and Master Gardeners will offer personalized advice and help with plant choices. A limited number of mature, showcase clivia and agapanthus, many in decorative containers, will be available.
Free Ivy Cuttings from the White House GardenThe first 25 customers will receive a free ivy cutting which is a descendant of a plant Thomas Jefferson brought from his showcase home, "Monticello" to the White House in 1809. To improve the appearance of the grounds of the newly built executive mansion, he brought many plants and design ideas from his estate. These cuttings are from an ivy that still grows on the wall of the East Garden at the White House.
