Community Corner

An Evening by the River

Connecticut Public Radio host Faith Middleton and prominent photographer Fern Berman, above, will be honorary co-chairs of the Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition’s annual fund-raiser on June 11 at Woodbury’s Mill House Antiques.  The event, “An Evening by the River,” will mark the Coalition’s 11th year of service and outreach to the people and towns of the watershed. Friends and supporters of PRWC will gather in the Mill House’s beautiful gardens alongside the Nonnewaug River to celebrate the watershed and aquifer, the source of our drinking water. There will be wine and hors d’oeuvres, live music, auctions, and the chance to chat with many Coalition members and supporters.

Tickets will soon be for sale at PRWC's website, www.pomperaug.org and at many local businesses.

In Woodbury: Abrash Galleries, Klapp & Tuttle, Mill House Antiques, Country Loft Antiques, Klemm Real Estate, and Canfield Corner Pharamcy.
