Great Pumpkin Challenge Benefits Local Child With Cancer

Will you take the Luck2Tuck Great Pumpkin Challenge and help a family in need?

Tucker Gowen was a Southbury resident who passed away after a brave battle with AML Leukemia.

His way of paying it forward lives on with the Luck2Tuck Great Pumpkin Challenge. This year, proceeds will go to a local child with cancer.

Want to participate in the pumpkin challenge? Here's what you need to know!

Carve or decorate a pumpkin and bring the pumpkin and a $5 donation to Newbury Place, 41 Oak Tree Rd., Southbury, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27.

Free apple cider and treats will be served. Cupcakes by Lia are available for purchase.

A "Southbury Bubble Dream Town of Goodness" sign will be raffled off. The sign was created based on Gowen's pride in Southbury and his belief that Southbury is just as the sign proclaims.

If you can't bring a pumpkin but would still like to participate, you can purchase a virtual pumpkin on the Luck2Tuck Great Pumpkin Challenge page.
