Bethel Winter Fest 2013: A Complete Guide

Live music, horse drawn carriage rides and the annual tree lighting are just some of the happenings are Bethel Winter Fest.

If you’re looking to kick off the holiday season with fanfare, Bethel Winter Fest is the event for you. Here’s what you need to know about the festivities:

Schedule of Events

  • 10 a.m. Most Bethel Shops Open for Shopping
  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Book Sale inside library
  • 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. ‘Tis the Season Marketplace located inside Municipal Center
  • Noon to 3 p.m. Horse Drawn Carriage Rides - Line forms at the Gift Cottage (Sponsored by: Union Savings Bank)
  • Noon to 5 p.m.  Festival of Wreaths - Bid on a Festive Wreath
  • Noon to 5 p.m. Warm up stations, featuring hot soup donated by local Bethel restaurants and  hot cocoa
  • Noon to 5 p.m. Vote for your favorite business window. Drop off ballots at boxes located outside Famous Pizza, The Chamber Office and Santa’s Village.
  • 1:30 & 3:30 p.m. Organ Recital by Joe Tuttle at St. Thomas Episcopal Church
  • 2 p.m. Santa arrives by fire truck at the Gazebo
  • 2 to 5 p.m. Pictures with Santa in the Gazebo (Sponsored by: Doctor’s Express)
  • 5 p.m. Bethel High School Choir performs at PT Barnum Square
  • 5:30 p.m. Tree Lighting Ceremony
  • 6 p.m. Pick up your winning wreath at the Chamber Office.
  • 6:30 p.m. After party Celebration at Bethel Cycle’s Customer Appreciation Sale, live music
