Special Olympics Connecticut hosts three Penguin Plunges in the Northwest Region

Penguin Plunge information to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut

As the first Penguin Plunge approaches, this is a reminder that there are many opportunities for involvement. It is not too late to register for any of the plunges. Visit soct.org to find the plunge nearest to you and to register. Three will be held in the northwest region of Connecticut and you can be one of the hundreds to run and jump into the icy waters for a great cause.

This Sunday, January 27th the first plunge will be held at Winding Trails in Farmington. Registration begins at 8am, the public plunge begins at 10am and our new Cool School Challenge plunges at 10:30am. The school that raises the most money will bring home a trophy and bragging rights until next year! On Saturday, February 9th the second plunge will be at Highland Lake in Winsted. Registration begins at 10am and the plunge will be at noon. There will also be an alternative Chicken Plunge at the YMCA for all those who are too chicken to jump in the cold water at Highland Lake. The last plunge of the northwest region will be at Candlewood Lake Park in Danbury on March 23rd. The plungers will register at 10am and jump at noon.
