David S. Callahan Dies at 65

The Connecticut native spent 40 years working as an engineer.

David S. Callahan, 65, died on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 in a fall at his home. He was the husband of Linda (Smith) Callahan.

David was born June 17, 1947 in Bridgeport, son of Virginia (Sumple) Mueller of Southbury and the late Samuel Callahan. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked for over 40 years as a network engineer in the telecommunications field. Dave enjoyed golfing and working on cars.

Besides his wife of 39 years, he leaves one son, John Callahan and his wife Anne of Naugatuck, and two daughters, Andra Peck and her husband Scott of St, Petersburg, Fl, and Kathleen Callahan of Southbury and one grandson Andrew. He is also survived by his brother Mark Callahan of Monroe and his sister, Pamela Crotts of Englewood, FL as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at 750 Main St. South in Southbury on Tuesday, Oct. 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. Service and burial will be private.
