A celebration of life is scheduled for May 24 in Roxbury.

Catherine (Kitty) Rosabella, 89, of Southbury, died Sunday, April 27 at Danbury Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Vincent J. Rosabella for 70 years.

Mrs. Rosabella was born May 14, 1924 in New Rochelle, NY, daughter of the late John and Emma (Rottner) Grace. After the children were grown the family moved to Margate, FL for 5 years. They then settled in New Milford, CT for 26 years before moving into Heritage Village for the last 13 years.

Kitty had worked in retail at Bloomingdales and Barkers before retiring with her husband. They enjoyed vacationing in Sun City, FL every winter. They enjoyed spending time with her children at her aunt and uncles farm in Watkins Glen, NY and also with her family at Sugar Maples Resort in the Catskills.

She leaves her four children, Judy DeVesta and husband, Mike, of Roxbury, Joan Faller and husband, Robert, of Newtown, Kathy Orne and husband, Al, of Maine and Rick Rosabella of Sherman; seven grandchildren, Christine Paige and husband, Craig, of Woodbury, Jason Faller and wife, Krista, of New Jersey, Kelly Faller, Pamela Faller and Leah Faller, all of New Jersey, Nicole Cartin of Vermont and Danielle Orne of New Milford; and seven great-grandchildren, Will Mosher, Jim, Jamie and Kyleigh Paige, Jake and Marin Faller and Milo Cartin.

Kitty enjoyed sewing and teaching her grandchildren how to sew so much that she became the family seamstress. She also enjoyed helping babysit her grandchildren, great-children and grand-dogs. Spending time with her family was most important to her.

Kitty volunteered at the New Milford Thrift Shop for more than 20 years, and gained many long lasting friendships with the other women volunteers there. She looked forward to spending her Mondays with them. She enjoyed her bingo days with her neighbor Doris and friends, and walks to her friend Angies on a nice day.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, May 24 at Roxbury Congregational Church at 11 a.m. Arrangements by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury.
