Obituary: Joseph J. Dudo, Jr., 69, of Southbury

Dudo was a master mechanic who loved machines and cars.

Joseph John Dudo, Jr., 69, of North Georges Hill Road died unexpectedly Wednesday July 11, 2012 at St Mary’s Hospital. He was the husband of the late Lavinia (MacDonald) Dudo.

Mr. Dudo was born November 19, 1942 in Bridgeport, son of the late Joseph J. and Mary (Bukovcik) Dudo, Sr. Mr. Dudo was a master mechanic who loved machines and cars. He worked in construction most of his life, teaching welding, hazmat, and various other skills to employees thru his labor union. He had sold real estate, and loved to collect antique John Deere tractors.

He is survived by his daughter, Allison Dudo of Vancouver, Washington, his sister and her husband Susan and Jack Stringer of Southbury and his beloved grand pug, Archie.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 17, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main Street North. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery Southbury.
