Obituary: Nancy Benno Liphardt, 59, of Southbury

Liphardt was involved with and volunteered for many groups in Southbury.

Nancy Benno Liphardt passed away on Friday August 24, 2012 to a peaceful, loving place with God. She was the wife of Paul Liphardt. Nancy was born December 2, 1952, in Southbridge, MA, beloved daughter of Phoebe Ann Vecchia of Bethel and the late Daniel Vecchia.

Nancy was a respected realtor in Southbury for many years. She had worked as an office manager for David Nyman Realtors, and most recently was employed by Century 21 Scalzo. In addition she was involved with and volunteered for many groups in Southbury, including chairperson on the Commission for Services of the Elderly, member of the Southbury and Pomperaug Elderly Housing Commission, president of the Southbury Fuel Bank and was an active member of Sacred Heart Church. Nancy will always be remembered for her kind and compassionate heart.

Besides her mother and husband, Nancy is survived by her brother David, and her seven sisters and their families Moriah, Marian, Phyllis, Janet, Ruthie, Katy and Joan. In addition Nancy was a loving and devoted aunt to several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Danny.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, Aug. 31 at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South, Southbury. Burial will be private with arrangements by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury, CT.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Nancy’s name may be made to Southbury Fuel Bank, 561 Main Street South, Southbury, CT 06488
