Obituary: Peter Kostas, 76, of Southbury

SOUTHBURY –  Kostas, Peter

Peter Kostas, also known as Peter Paris in his later years, age 76, of Kauai, HI but who lived recently in Vermont and for many years in Roxbury and Heritage Village, died Wednesday July 9, 2014.  He was born February 20, 1938, one of six sons of the late Theofanis K. and Mary (Thomas) Paraskeva in New Haven, CT.    He was a 1958 graduate of Hillhouse High School.  He was for many years a general contractor and built several custom colonial reproduction homes in the Southbury-Roxbury area, and remodeled numerous condominiums in Heritage Village.  Peter was also an avid artist, whose paintings were exhibited in the Southbury area.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Elody, an elder brother in infancy and by a younger brother Christ Kostas. He is survived by his three younger brothers, two children, five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  Mr. Kostas was cremated at Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai, HI; no memorial services were held.
