Obituary: Rudolph Bremser

Services will take place in Woodbury.

Rudolph Bremser died peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at his home in Heritage Village in Southbury, at the age of 80.

Bremser was born April 27, 1931, in Chicago, Ill., and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1953. He traveled the world as an accountant for Caltex/Chevron, from the exotics of the Far East to the deserts of the Middle East, from the wilds of Africa to the beaches of Rio and the sophistication of Europe.

Bremser loved nature and all the world could offer.

He leaves his former wife, children, grandchildren and several cousins.

A memorial service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at the Mattatuck Unitarian-Universalist Society meeting house, 122 South Pomperaug Ave., Woodbury.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MUUS, 122 South Pomperaug Ave., Woodbury 06798.
