Car Break-ins Continue in Southbury

Purse stolen from vehicle on Scout Road as Southbury car break-ins begin to stack up.

State police are searching for a person(s) who broke into a vehicle at the Lake Zoar Boat Launch on Scout Road and stole a purse on Wednesday, July 11.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact State Police Troop ‘A’ at (203) 267-2240.

Last month led off with three car break-ins in one week. This was followed by a larceny from a motor vehicle that occurred in the dirt parking lot of the land trust area on Flood Bridge Rd. just weeks ago.

Three Danbury residents were arrested in May after Southbury police responded to a reported car break-in on Bucks Hill Rd. Shortly after this incident State Police received a report of an additional car break-in in Oxford and the men were spotted and taken into custody later that night.

The above arrest information was supplied by the State Police. It does not indicate a conviction.
