Darien Police Arrest 12 Teens

The group was allegedly partying in an empty home up for sale.

According to police, authorities received a complaint at approximately 10:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, that vehicles with loud mufflers were racing up and down Three Wells Lane.

Upon arrival, officers said they observed several vehicles in the driveway of a residence, including one that matched the description of the one of the vehicles possibly involved.

Police said as they approached the residence, they could observe individuals running around inside the house and others exiting the home and running into a wooded area. A ladder was also observed placed in the area of a second floor balcony, police said.

Three of the alleged participants were arrested after they were found hiding in the woods. The remainder were found hiding in the basement area of the home. Police additionally allegedly discovered two 30 packs of Natural Light beer in the basement, they said.

So let's get this straight Mr. Gurliacci. In the original article you said that Jordan Irizarry was 35 years old. This "Patch Fact" was included in the original head line of the story. Even upon being corrected in the blog you stood by your "Patch Fact" No one at the patch had the gumption to check the age of Jordan Irizarry despite the fact that this age discrepancy stuck out like a sore thumb. Mr. Gurliaaci fact checking separates the news organizations from the gossip columns. This lack of professionalism destroys credibility. Your readers and the advertisers who support you deserve better.

Lol, Mr. Gurliacci didn't write the story, so he never "said" anything. DJ McAneny did. should we take your factual inaccuracy-one that could be remedied by simply scrolling to the top of the story you're talking about-as a sign to dismiss your comment wholesale? Because, seriously, Patch comment readers deserve better.
