Driver Hit With DUI, Woman Charged With Larceny, Fraud

The following arrest information was supplied by the Southbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Thomas Keating, 58, of Middlebury, was charged with DUI and failure to drive to the right on Feb. 8 at approximately 1:17 a.m. after police observed him driving erratically on Judd Road in Southbury.

Keating was released on $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 20.

State Police from Troop ‘A’ in Southbury served an arrest warrant for Jamele Paulin, 39, of Waterbury, for the following charges:

  • First-degree larceny, defrauding a public community
  • First-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, defrauding a public community
  • First-degree vending fraud, defrauding a public community
  • First-degree conspiracy to commit vending fraud, defrauding a public community

According to police, the arrest came after an investigation by the Department of Social Services that began in April 2012 after a fraud complaint was made.

Paulin was released on $2,000 surety bond and is schedule to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 20.
