Drunk Teen Parks Next to Cop, Settler’s Park Vandalized

The following arrest information was supplied by the Southbury police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Settler’s Park Vandalized

Several light poles and a building at Settler’s Park in Southbury were spray-painted with graffiti sometime between Friday, August 10 and Tuesday, August 14.

Drunk Teen Parks Next to Cop

Christian Boncek, 19, of Woodbury, was charged with DUI on Wednesday, August 15 at approximately 12:52 a.m. after he entered Southbury Mobil on Main Street South driving erratically and at a high rate of speed and then parked next to a police vehicle.

Boncek was also wanted by the Waterbury Superior Court on a failure to respond warrant in regards to an infraction for simple trespass that was issued in Woodbury in August 2011. 

Boncek was released on $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on August 23.

Political Sign Removed

James Pavlick Jr., 39, of Southington, was charged with 3rd degree criminal mischief and creating a public disturbance on Tuesday, August 14 at approximately 2:30 p.m.

According to police, Pavlick removed a Lisa Wilson-Foley campaign sign from the rear of a pickup truck on Main Street and damaged the plastic liner of the truck.

Pavlick was released and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on August 22.
