Litchfield High School Principal Kristen Della Volpe was charged with Driving Under the Influence Saturday in Torrington.
According to FoxCT.com, Della Volpe was arrested at the Burger King on East Main St., Torrington, after failing a sobriety test issued by police.
Della Volpe, 44, currently of Seymour, worked at both Ansonia High School and Pomperaug High School before accepting the role of Principal at LHS in 2007, according to The Register Citizen.
Della Volpe posted a $1,000 bond, and will appear in Bantam Court on Monday, Jan. 13,
