Police Warn of Internet Scams
The Southbury Police have received an increase of complaints regarding Internet and telephone scams. The police urge caution when answering emails from senders they are not familiar with or when providing personal banking information as a result of an email notification.
If residents receive an e-mail or telephone call that they believe is a scam they are encouraged to contact The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at www.ic3.org or the Southbury Police Department at (203) 264-5912.

Heritage Villager Has Second Run-in with Police
Thomas Mastin, 76, of Heritage Village, was issued an infraction for creating a public disturbance on Friday, Oct. 5 at approximately 2 p.m.

According to police, Mastin engaged in a dispute with a Heritage Village Maintenance worker in the area of his residence.
Last week, Mastin was charged with third-degree criminal mischief stemming from an investigation that began last month after a neighbor complained he intentionally damaged her car door.
Money Order Reported Stolen
Southbury Police are investigating the reported larceny of a money order on Saturday, Oct. 6 at approximately 2 p.m.
