Southbury Man Charged With Burglarizing Neighbor's Home, Woman Reports Assault

The following arrest information was supplied by the Southbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Erik Martin, 23, of Southbury, was charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny on Nov. 20 at approximately 1 p.m.

According to police, officers were called to a residential burglary on Lower Fish Rock Rd. Upon investigation police noticed items stolen from the house were on the front lawn of the neighbor’s house. Martin admitted to breaking into the house and stealing the items.

Martin was released on $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 5.

A Southbury woman reported being assaulted by her neighbor on Nov. 21 at approximately 12:30 p.m. The incident reportedly occurred on Oct. 30. Southbury police are investigating this incident.
