Man Charged With Stealing Heritage Villager's Car, Leading Police on Pursuit

The following arrest information was supplied by the Southbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Chase Barron, 23, of Chesley, MA, was charged with first-degree larceny and engaging police in pursuit on Dec. 24 at approximately 6:36 p.m.

According to police, shortly after a Heritage Village resident reported their vehicle stolen a Southbury officer spotted the vehicle on New Wheeler Rd. A low speed pursuit ensued ending at North Poverty Rd. and Route 67.

Barron was held in lieu of a $10,000 cash bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 26.

Jennifer Marden, 26, of Gaylordsville, CT, was charged with DWI, following too close and improper use of high beams on Dec. 22 at approximately 12:26 a.m. after police observed her tailgating and flashing her lights at a vehicle on Route 67 in Southbury.

Marden was released on $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 3.
