Man Faces Strangulation Charges Following Altercation on Main Street

Devin Mack, 20, of Danbury was charged with 3rd degree assault, 2nd degree strangulation and unlawful restraint following an incident in Southbury on Saturday, June 23 at approximately 7:19 p.m.

According to police reports, Mack got into a physical altercation with a woman on Main St. South in Southbury.

Mack was released on $10,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 25.

Catherine Mis, 45, of Derby was charged with 1st degree criminal trespassing and violation of a protective order in Southbury on Monday, June 25.

According to police reports, Mis was issued a protective order to have no contact with an individual in May. She broke that protective order when she entered into the individual’s place of business, the Southford Medical Building, in an attempt to give him a gift and talk.

Mis was released on $2,500 non-surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 26.

Car Broken Into at Land Trust

The Southbury Police Department is currently investigating a larceny from a motor vehicle that occurred in the dirt parking lot of the land trust area on Flood Bridge Rd. in Southbury on Wednesday, June 20.

According to police reports, the victim had his wallet stolen from his Ford Ranger sometime between 5 – 6:30 p.m.
