Man Illegally Obtains Oxycodone From Southbury CVS, Police Stop Wanted Man

Man Makes Failed Attempt to Obtain Oxycodone

Donald Rice, 50, of Bronx, N.Y., was charged with illegally obtaining drugs and obtaining controlled drugs by fraud on Monday, Oct. 10 at approximately 3:41 p.m.

According to police, Rice was arrested at CVS Pharmacy, on Depot Hill Rd. in Southbury, after attempting to pass a forged prescription for Oxycodone.

Rice was held on $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 2.

Robert Dipple, 38, of Newtown was charged with operating with a suspended license, misuse of a marker plate, driving without insurance and driving with a defective muffler on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at approximately 1:41 a.m.

According to police, Dipple was stopped near exit 14 of I-84 for a motor vehicle violation. Dipple was also listed as a wanted person for a second-degree failure to appear on charges of operating with a suspended license.

Dipple was released on bonds totaling $5,000 and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 10.

Kindle Fire Found on Side of Southford Road

A Kindle Fire was reported found to Southbury Police on Monday, Oct. 1. The Kindle was found on Southford Rd. near exit 15 of I-84.
