Police: Assault, Criminal Mischief, Reckless Endangerment in Southbury

Southbury man facing charges after domestic violence incident, Bethlehem man charged after damaging Flood Bridge Road home.

Edward Kostrna, of Bethlehem, was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and third-degree criminal mischief on July 9 at approximately 5:25 p.m.

According to police, Kostrna was arrested on a warrant that stemmed from an incident on May 5 at a Southbury residence on Flood Bride Road regarding damage to an electrical breaker box inside a home.

Kostrna was released on $2,500 non-surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 17.

Thomas Murphy, 21, of Southbury, was charged with third-degree assault, criminal violation of a protective order and disorderly conduct on July 3 at approximately 12:08 p.m.

According to police, Murphy was arrested on a warrant stemming from a domestic violence incident that occurred on July 2.

Murphy was released on $25,000 court-set bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 9.
